You can be part of making this annual fundraiser even more successful by selling Uhuru Pies to your friends, family, co-workers, and colleagues. Uhuru Pies are sold by individuals at workplaces, schools, churches and organization offices.

We will arrange to deliver orders of 10 or more pies to your workplace, school, or home on the day you request. Please contact us at 510-625-1106 or oakland@uhurufoods.org to let us know you'd like to help sell pies. We will get you brochures, posters and postcards and talk with you about how to sell and distribute the pies.

Ways You Can Sell Pies

• Hand out postcards and brochures at your job, church, school or other organization.
• Talk with your friends, co-workers and colleagues.
• Put up posters in the lunchroom, your office or in other common spaces at work or in a common area of your apartment or condo building. If you have access to a color printer, you can print out the poster or leaflet.
• Send out an email or an Evite announcing Uhuru Holiday Pies to all your friends and co-workers.
• Put an announcement in your group, church, workplace or condo newsletter.
• Sponsor a pie-tasting. Ask for some samples and organize a pie-tasting at your office, church, school or home. At work, ask the HR department to help promote this event. Someone from the Uhuru Foods team can join you at the pie tasting. You'll get a lot of orders on that day!
• Staff an Uhuru Holiday Pies distribution site (see below). Pick a day to help sell these pies with your friends or group at the Saturday Market.

Getting Your Pie Orders

Orders of 10 or more can be delivered on the day you request to your office or site, or you can arrange to pick them up. Other delivery arrangements can often be made.

Use the pie seller's order form (PDF)(Excel). It is best to have orders pre-paid, but you can have them COD (cash or check payable to "Uhuru"). We will collect total payment on delivery or pickup.

Call in your orders or submit them through our online store.

Submit your orders at the latest by 2:00 pm on the day before they are needed. Let us know as much in advance as possible of your pickup/delivery needs and approximate order. Then final numbers of pies can be submitted by 2pm the day before.

Volunteer to staff an Uhuru Pie table

Uhuru Pies are sold by individuals at schools, churches, organization offices and workplaces. Pies are also sold at bake tables in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Santa Cruz, Sebastopol and other areas.
