Volunteer to Bake
Uhuru Pies is a project of
Uhuru Foods to give all of us an
opportunity to build solidarity with the movement of African working
people for self-determination, and justice. Hundreds of
families, individuals, student groups and businesses support the African Village Survival Initiative by baking, selling and buying pies.
Uhuru Holiday Pies are baked collectively by volunteers. No experience is necessary! You can bake on a shift with your friends and family. We are looking for both experienced and beginning bakers. Help cut and coook apples, mix berries, fill the pie shells, assemble and and fill boxes and label mountains of pies!
This season, Uhuru Pies will be prepared in the 9 Catering kitchen
at 1607 - 63rd Street, Emeryville, CA.
