Annual APSC conference launches Revolutionary Democratic Program

On January 11-12, 2009 people came from across the U.S. to St. Petersburg, Florida for the annual African People's Solidarity Committee Open Conference.

The two day event featured presentations by Chairman Omali Yeshitela and other leaders from the African People's Socialist Party. Penny Hess, Chairwoman of the African People's Solidarity Committee spoke on the economic crisis and branches from around the country reported on their work over the past year and presented plans for the upcoming period

An especially significant aspect of this year's conference was the presentation and discussion around APSC's Revolutionary Democratic Program. This recently developed document expresses a vision for the world we want to live in. It provides a theoretical basis for building broad based unity in the white community with the struggle for national liberation of African and all oppressed people.
